Exhibition Kinsale Library 13th December 2023 - 6th January 2024

A selection of photographs from the recently published book, ‘Peninsula People: Photographic Memories from the Old Head of Kinsale’ by Pádraig Begley, Jerome Lordan and the late Eugene Dennis, will be exhibited in Kinsale Library from Wednesday 13th December. Carefully collated over a number of years, the book contains over 450 photographs celebrating the Old Head community and life in rural Ireland in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibition, which will be of special interest to those with connections to the area, will run until Saturday 6th January 2024.

An official launch of the exhibition took place on Wednesday 13th December, and there will be an opportunity to meet the authors for book signings on Saturday 16th December from 3pm. ‘Peninsula People: Photographic Memories from the Old Head of Kinsale’ is available to purchase in local bookshops. The book was funded by theLusitania Museum & Old Head Signal Tower, with all proceeds going towards the continued maintenance  and development of the museum.
